I found this to be quite interesting. I really appreciate how Einstein is open to the fact that as smart as he was he doesn't know everything. I hope I can be so wise some day.

Ideas? Help?
Lovely people: What is the safest (freeist!) "cloud" place to (digitally) store my editing so I can access anywhere I have internet?

March 2012 Favs!
Spring has sprung on the calendar, which is great since Mother Nature was already way ahead of the game. I was into the spring colors before my day planner told me to be – I just had to indulge in the beauty of Spring. It’s my favorite season really. Wildflowers grow everywhere. I love them. So much. Forget pretentious roses, or uptight tulips, or scandalous antheriums (I love all those flowers, do not get me wrong!) and show me the wildflowers. They will not be tamed. They grow where they want, they shine brilliantly with color, and they really want you to roll around in them. What’s not to love? Additionally, sandals come into fashion in places other than Florida (where they are always in fashion!), fruits are juicy, and the wind blows your hair just enough to feel like you’re in a movie.
So what are my early Spring favs? March was full of awesome for me and I hope you love these things too.
Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo (cream gel shadow)
This really stays on very well. There are lots of colors to choose from (from traditional colors to “Katy Perry” colors {As I call super bold looks}). All the colors I have sampled are very richly pigmented. It doesn’t feel heavy or cakey on the eyelids. This product is almost as good as my all-time fav Make Up Forever aqua creams. I say that for the price (less than $10 most places!) and the ease of purchase (almost all drug and department stores carry them) this is a must have. Note: These do stand up to the emo eye IF the eye waters after the shadow is set. If my eye is already tearing up then this does not stand up to the test. Even if I dry my eye, it waters too fast and will mix into the shadow cream. When that happens, the emo eyes shadow will crease and look bad. So this is only used on non-tearing days.
My color of choice is Pomegranate Punk. I love it.

Naval Oranges
They speak for themselves.
Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo
We have all gone an extra day longer than we should have. Our blond friends like to tell us about the nifty dry shampoo they use to stretch one more day out of the hair. Us brunettes secretly whine inside while smiling about our fair haired friends good fortune. Well those days are gone! (full review coming eventually.) Spray this into your bangs, pull your hair into a 5 minute updo and you are good to go. No matter your hair color, this works. Pic is day 3, Oscar Blandi, updo.
New Beginnings
Whereas this might not be exactly a beauty product you can go purchase.. it is something we can all appreciate. The sigh of the breath you were holding for years. The smile as it all finally comes together. (Or in my case, the “ooooo” face) Smiles are the best thing you can put on your face. My department has been working on a project for years and it is finally coming together. (We got a new building for the Student Center! Well, an old building but refurbished to meet our needs. And we moved in last week! So now students on my campus have a place to hang out between classes. You just can’t imagine how happy that makes my department.) This photo is me trying to make the “oooooo” and “aahhh” face but all I wanted to do was smile so it came out like I am trying to whistle (what?!) But the beautiful girl beside me – that is my daughter. She is also a student worker on campus who has been involved in this process. She is happy too. Look at that beautiful smile. New beginnings in spring. How poetically perfect.
Maybelline Super Stay 10 Hour Stain Gloss
Ii can’t get enough of this gloss! I wear it so much right now that my other lipstuff’s are getting jealous. It stains, it glosses.. it does it all. Now to be 100% honest I can’t make it last 10 hours. But even the 2 – 3 hours are well worth it.
My color preference is Berry Heavenly (top swatch) but I really like Pink Blush (bottom swatch) also.
Well that's it for my March Favs! Tell me some of yours!
Keep smiling,
DJ

One of my fav Etsy shops..
I love turtles. Oh I collect lions passionately, this is true, but I do love turtles as well (just differently). A couple of years ago, in an Etsy shop, I found an adorable turtle necklace. He was very reasonably priced and I snatched him up. I get compliments on him all the time. So much so, actually, that just last month I bought a companion turtle necklace for my niece (who loved my turtle necklace so much). The turtle charm is big enough to be noticed, but not so big that it is uncomfortable or gaudy.
Since the turtle, I have purchased many other items from the boutique. I have to tell you that I have always been pleased. I have kept some items for myself and some items have been given away as gifts. Everyone always loves what I buy from CheeryMiri Boutique. A couple months ago I asked her if she ever considered making owls in Harry Potter colors. Guess what she now makes?
The jewelry (and hair pieces) are all handmade by Miri herself. If you like her Boutique on Facebook you can occasionally see her talk about new projects (the good and the bad). Her response time to questions is really good. She always mails her products in a timely manner and if for some reason there is a delay, she lets you know. The packages come cutely wrapped which always makes me smile. You should totally check out CheeryMiri Boutique.
I wish I had taken more pics of the things I have purchased (like I said, gave away many as gifts) but here is one of me with the original turtle. The rest of the pics are some of the purchases from CheeryMiri Boutique that I have made (just not in “action shot” form). Keep in mind, these are a few of MY purchases, she has so much more than this!!! Check her out for yourself.
Keep smiling,
